This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Champion user-centric content practices with both internal and client teams.
• Ensure that content decisions are informed by user research, best practices in accessibility, and business objectives.
• Advise clients on the impact of content on navigation, usability, and conversion rates.
• Create compelling, strategic, and accessible website copy that is optimized for SEO and AEO.
• Plan, develop, and deliver content audits, map/gap analyses, user journeys, personas, user flows, keyword/SEO/AEO research, content maps, copy guidelines, voice/tone frameworks, UX copywriting, and documentation for content governance.
• Participate in client pitch meetings as a representative for creative services.
• Contribute to webinars, case studies, speaking engagements, blog posts, video content, conferences, and industry events.
• Manage projects from discovery and research through to strategy, content development, and execution.
• Clearly communicate and justify recommendations to both internal and client teams.
• Work collaboratively with design and implementation teams to enhance content systems and user experiences.
• Over 5 years of experience in content strategy and copywriting at a senior level, preferably in an agency or client services setting.
• Proficient in developing content strategies based on qualitative insights and quantitative data.
• Proven experience in crafting copy that meets SEO/AEO requirements and adheres to established accessibility standards.
• Experience collaborating with remote and/or distributed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize content for large or intricate websites.
• A portfolio showcasing website content strategy, content modeling, UX writing, information architecture, and copywriting samples aligned with project objectives.
• Familiarity with tools such as Userbrain, Optimal Workshop, Mouseflow, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Workspace, and documentation software.
• Exceptional writing and editing abilities, with strong grammar and attention to detail.
• Capability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible content.
• Strategic mindset that aligns business goals with user requirements.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills in client-facing scenarios.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive content practices, including WCAG.
• Proficient in managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Must be a resident of British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, or the Northwest Territories.
• Availability for regular collaboration during Pacific Time business hours is required.
