Senior Web Platform Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create digital experiences for Dexcom.com and Stelo.com

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable applications and services utilizing Python or JavaScript/TypeScript

• Construct event-driven architectures and integrations

• Define technical designs and engineering standards

• Align business requirements with maintainability, security, and reliability

• Guide engineers and offer constructive code reviews

• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment methodologies

• Create and support cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform

• Collaborate with Marketing and other business teams to clarify requirements and assess trade-offs

• Work alongside engineers in North America and international teams

• Engage with platform vendors to resolve issues and enhance service quality

• Contribute to planning and delivery, identify risks, and address production issues with preventive measures

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation

• Act as an individual contributor without direct reports

⛳️ Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience in developing and delivering production software

• At least three years of experience in providing technical leadership or mentoring engineers

• Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript

• Proficiency in both Python and JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience in designing and working with event-driven architectures

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with a major cloud platform such as GCP or AWS

• Experience in collaborating with geographically distributed engineering teams

• Strong communication skills with experience in working directly with non-technical business stakeholders

• Sound problem-solving abilities, independent judgment, and ownership of work from implementation through production

• Experience using Jira or a similar tool

• Familiarity with React, Node.js, Django, or Flask

• Experience with cloud services like Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, or comparable AWS services

• Experience with automated testing, application security, dependency scanning, and secrets management

• Background in software development within healthcare, medical-device, or other regulated environments

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 5-8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 2-5 years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of experience
