
Senior Water Treatment Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver senior-level guidance and operational assistance for the design, construction, commissioning, and optimization of water treatment systems.
• Provide leadership and support for the performance of water treatment, remediation, and reclamation projects.
• Assist in risk analysis as part of project management activities.
• Foster and maintain client relationships through continuous communication and a clear understanding of client objectives.
• Travel to potential and current job sites to engage with on-site personnel, vendors, customers, and regulatory agents.
• Offer technical expertise on projects within your specific areas of proficiency.
• Create and revise documentation, including operational manuals, drawings, and site-specific information related to safety, operations, and maintenance.
• Oversee and advocate for environmental health and worker safety compliance within the system.
• Identify and suggest enhancements to operations to ensure that assigned functions are both efficient and cost-effective.
• Implement appropriate safety measures, anticipate unsafe conditions, and take action to avert accidents.
• Provide technical insight on projects within your areas of expertise.
• Collaborate with other technical specialists to achieve multidisciplinary project objectives.
• Mentor and offer technical training to junior team members and operators.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, process, or environmental engineering.
• Professional Engineering designation is required.
• Over 7 years of prior experience in water treatment and consulting.
• Previous involvement in industrial wastewater projects.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with team members while also managing independent projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant business software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and operate independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with stakeholders at various levels.
