This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Spearhead the video strategy and execution for US entertainment coverage across both long-form and short-form platforms.
• Formulate daily and long-term video coverage strategies centered around breaking entertainment news, significant events, film and television releases, and industry trends.
• Supervise the production of both long-form and short-form videos.
• Create original video concepts, recurring shows, interview series, podcasts, and scalable content formats.
• Identify story angles and establish editorial approaches for breaking news, interviews, explainers, commentary, analysis, features, and developing stories.
• Mentor, train, and guide video team members in their professional development.
• Collaborate with anchors, hosts, correspondents, and producers based in the US and UK.
• Research, identify, and secure guests for interviews, podcasts, discussions, and special programming.
• Manage logistics for interviews, press junkets, red carpet coverage, live reporting, production schedules, research, and briefing materials.
• Lead planning for coverage of premieres, festivals, conventions, award shows, and other entertainment events.
• Work in partnership with editorial, social media, audience development, design, and production teams.
• Review scripts, edits, graphics, and final videos to ensure they meet editorial and production standards.
• Analyze audience performance and analytics to refine programming and content strategy.
• Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and development of video production talent.
• Maintain effective communication across teams and align video coverage with editorial priorities.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and performance of the entertainment video team.
• Stay adaptable during breaking news, live events, premieres, award shows, and other high-stakes moments.
• 4–5 years of relevant work experience as outlined in the job details.
• Extensive professional experience in producing entertainment or celebrity video content for digital, broadcast, or television newsrooms.
• Proven experience in managing, mentoring, or leading video production teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of the US entertainment industry, including Hollywood, celebrities, film, television, streaming, and pop culture.
• Experience in producing both long-form and short-form editorial video content.
• Strong editorial judgment with the ability to identify compelling stories and video formats.
• Proven experience in producing breaking news, interviews, explainers, commentary, features, podcasts, and event coverage.
• Skilled in identifying, pitching, and securing celebrities, publicists, industry experts, creators, and high-profile guests.
• Experience in coordinating interviews, press junkets, red carpets, live reporting, or special event coverage.
• Strong skills in script development, editorial planning, and production management.
• Experience collaborating with on-air talent, hosts, correspondents, interviewers, or presenters.
• Strong grasp of audience analytics and the use of data to enhance video performance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to editorial accuracy and production quality.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and the ability to handle multiple productions under tight deadlines.
