Senior Vice President, High Voltage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the P&L of the High Voltage business unit, encompassing revenue, margins, backlog quality, and working capital performance.

• Oversee the HV estimating and preconstruction teams.

• Approve all HV proposals, while setting the strategy and growth objectives for the HV sector.

• Establish and implement the strategy for self-performing versus subcontracting for substation, switchyard, and transmission projects.

• Lead the execution of a multi-project HV portfolio, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

• Promote a leading HV safety culture, with strict compliance to NFPA 70E, arc flash, LOTO, and energized-work protocols.

• Act as the primary senior relationship manager for HV clients, utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and AHJs.

• Develop and expand the HV organization — including project management, field leadership, engineering coordination, and craft — to align with pipeline demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of progressive experience in high voltage/substation/transmission construction, particularly with utility-scale or large industrial projects.

• Proven P&L or senior operational leadership experience within a construction business unit or extensive portfolio.

• Strong technical expertise in substation, switchyard, and transmission line construction; protection & control; testing, commissioning, and energization.

• Demonstrated success in delivering complex HV projects safely, on time, and within budget.

• Extensive experience managing relationships with utilities, ISO/RTOs, and AHJs, including processes related to interconnection and energization.

• Superior HV safety leadership skills (NFPA 70E, arc flash, LOTO, energized work).

• Experience in managing procurement risk related to LLI and navigating equipment supply chain challenges.
