This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Perform comprehensive vehicle condition assessments at a high level of expertise.
• Locate, initiate, maneuver, inspect, and ensure the safe return of vehicles on dealer/client lots.
• Verify vehicle identification and accurately input VIN, mileage, and sub-series information.
• Assess vehicle equipment and options, documenting any damage, missing items, or inoperable components.
• Record the exterior condition, including tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical elements.
• Document the interior condition, encompassing seats, dashboard, and available options.
• Execute basic mechanical evaluations on powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
• Provide assistance to junior mobile inspectors with intricate inspections and client interactions.
• Prepare and submit daily activity reports for management review.
• Adjust daily appointments to facilitate efficient dealer visits.
• Cultivate client knowledge within the territory and maintain proactive engagement on-lot.
• Utilize partner data and insights to enhance the volume of inspected units.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Cox Automotive, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialist teams, colleagues, Manheim workgroups, and auctions.
• Employ Salesforce.com for reporting, lead entry, and customer performance evaluations.
• Understand and implement the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
• Operate within a continuous improvement/Lean environment and advocate for Lean culture.
• Meet production expectations consistently.
• Adhere to safety and health protocols and engage in Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in any automotive-related field is required.
• At least 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections is recommended.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
• A solid technical aptitude is crucial.
• Attention to detail is important.
• Experience with handheld and other documentation devices is preferred.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
• Ability to multitask, follow directions, and take guidance is essential.
• Knowledge of body, paint, and mechanical repair is advantageous.
• Familiarity with unibody and full-frame structures is helpful.
• Capability to lift and hold at least 30 lbs. at waist level for extended periods is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear regularly is necessary.
• Frequent crouching, bending, and kneeling abilities are essential.
• Strength to lift hoods or trunks is required.
• Near vision abilities to detect vehicle damage are necessary.
• Ability to identify exterior and interior colors is important.
• Capability to work under varying lighting conditions is required.
• Physical endurance and mental acuity to fulfill responsibilities within designated timeframes are essential.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship available now or in the future.
