Senior Vaccination Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will be a part of a dedicated grantmaking team focused on advancing our ambitious research initiatives related to vaccination.

• You will evaluate numerous questions we could address, concentrating on those that are most significant.

• Additionally, you will communicate the outcomes of your work externally and provide mentorship and guidance to fellow researchers on the team.

• You will develop a research agenda that infuses rigor and creativity into the complex challenges faced by the GiveWell vaccination team.

• Your responsibilities will include reviewing empirical evidence, conducting critical synthesis, performing cost-effectiveness modeling, engaging with subject matter experts, assessing the broader context, and applying your own judgment.

• The Senior Vaccination Researcher will play a crucial role in shaping a substantial annual grantmaking portfolio, managing grant investigations from inception to recommendation, and representing GiveWell to external partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree with a quantitative focus (e.g., in epidemiology, statistics, economics, or related disciplines).

• Significant professional experience within the vaccination sector (broadly defined), which may include expertise in epidemiological or health economics modeling, as well as program implementation or funding.
