This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts, including focus groups, structured interviews, surveys, and usability testing, involving teachers, instructional coaches, and school administrators.
• Conduct targeted market and competitive research to assess industry trends, benchmark rival EdTech solutions, and identify opportunities for strategic positioning.
• Design and facilitate educator panels, translating feedback into actionable product design opportunities.
• Establish iterative research loops to track changes in user perception and long-term platform adoption.
• Coordinate participant recruitment across elementary, middle, and high school demographics.
• Transform user pain points and research metrics into high-fidelity web designs, intuitive screen flows, and interactive layouts.
• Provide design specifications to front-end web designers, ensuring alignment between design and engineering.
• Assess and refine layout sequences, visual hierarchies, UI text labeling, and primary navigation structures.
• Utilize K-12 grading and standards-based reporting knowledge to create accessible teacher dashboards.
• Develop visual data representations for time-constrained educators supporting student remediation and administrative groupings.
• Create progress indicators, color-coded matrices, and grouping markers for non-technical users.
• Ensure that data visualizations and interface layouts comply with inclusive and accessible design guidelines.
• 7+ years of focused professional experience in UX research, interface design, or digital analytics architectures.
• Expertise in modern UI wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
• Proven track record of presenting research artifacts (personas, journey maps, insight decks) to technical development teams and leadership.
• Previous experience as a K-12 classroom teacher, instructional coach, or school-level educator is preferred.
• Functional technical understanding of front-end development with the ability to read, interpret, and write HTML5 and CSS3 code.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI productivity systems and predictive tools to create user scripts, synthesize large datasets, and develop rapid UI prototypes.
• Direct familiarity with standards-based grading metrics, formative assessment practices, and large-scale district or state educational technology implementations.
• Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and FERPA privacy regulations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, or a related behavioral/technology-focused field is preferred.
