Senior UX Motion Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Motion Design: Enhance key product experiences by incorporating elegant motion, transitions, and micro-interactions that add both polish and significance.

• Product Design: Create aesthetically pleasing and intuitive mobile interfaces for core features and AI-driven functionalities, ensuring the simplicity that makes Insight Timer accessible to all users.

• Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes on a weekly basis to present new features and experiments in collaboration with product leads.

• Design-to-Engineering Handoff: Convert promising prototypes into refined, specification-ready designs that align with our established system.

• Testing & Iteration: Design variations and quickly iterate as part of our ongoing testing culture.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Design, Senior PMs, engineers, and the CEO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing consumer mobile applications, with a portfolio showcasing strong craftsmanship, measurable user impact, and compelling mobile case studies.

• Outstanding motion design abilities: adept in transitions, micro-interactions, and skilled at making motion feel intentional rather than merely decorative.

• Solid grasp of UI/UX principles: visual design, information architecture, and the capability to simplify complex features.

• Proficient in navigating the complete design process, from research and concept development to engineering handoff.

• Motivated by changing priorities and a dynamic daily routine; adept at transitioning between projects on a weekly basis and enthusiastic about the rapid pace typical of a fast-moving product team.

• Collaborative and communicative; experienced in working alongside PMs, engineers, and senior stakeholders.

• Passionate about AI design and prototyping tools.
