This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Directly oversee a team of designers.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and discussions on career development.
• Take responsibility for team morale, retention, and overall team health objectives.
• Facilitate and enhance Agile design ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and design reviews.
• Incorporate design into Scrum cycles alongside Product and Engineering teams.
• Manage features from start to finish when required, covering everything from discovery and wireframes to high-fidelity UI and production handoff.
• Review and provide constructive feedback on the team's design deliverables to elevate quality.
• Act as the primary design contact for Product Management, Engineering, and other business stakeholders.
• Engage in roadmap planning and negotiate project scope.
• Integrate usability testing and behavioral analytics from tools like FullStory, Pendo, Amplitude, or similar into design iterations.
• Collaborate with UX Research to turn findings into personas, journey maps, and data-driven design decisions.
• Advocate for AI-enhanced design workflows utilizing Figma AI, Claude, and other emerging tools.
• Establish goals for AI tool adoption, share best practices, and exemplify an AI-by-Design approach.
• Create professional growth plans and promote a culture of direct, constructive, and kind feedback.
• Report directly to the SVP of Experience Strategy & Product Design.
• Over 8 years of experience in UX/Product Design, with at least 3 years in a direct management role for designers.
• A portfolio showcasing craftsmanship and leadership capabilities.
• Practical experience in conducting Agile scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Comprehensive product design experience spanning from discovery and wireframing to high-fidelity UI and production handoff.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping.
• Direct experience in building, governing, and scaling Design Systems.
• Strong grasp of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and inclusive design methodologies.
• Experience in synthesizing behavioral analytics and usability testing into design choices.
• Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, and executive levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Preferred: Formal Agile training certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or similar) or substantial scrum master/agile lead experience.
• Preferred: Background in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise platform products.
• Preferred: Experience in enhancing team health, morale, and retention metrics.
• Preferred: Familiarity with implementing JIRA-based or similar tracking systems.
• Preferred: Knowledge of AI-augmented design workflows.
• Preferred: Experience in leading organizational change, process improvement, or leadership transitions.
