Senior UX Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of designers, conducting 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, and discussions on career development.

• Take responsibility for team morale, retention, and measurable targets related to team health.

• Facilitate and enhance Agile ceremonies for the design team.

• Integrate design processes within scrum cycles alongside Product and Engineering teams.

• Manage features comprehensively when required, spanning from discovery and wireframing to high-fidelity UI and production handoff.

• Review, critique, and elevate the quality of the team's design outputs.

• Act as the main design liaison for Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders.

• Engage in roadmap planning and negotiate project scope.

• Ensure that usability testing and behavioral analytics influence design iterations.

• Advocate for AI-enhanced workflows utilizing Figma AI, Claude, and emerging tools.

• Develop professional growth plans and promote a culture of direct, constructive feedback.

• Report directly to the SVP of Experience Strategy & Product Design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in UX/Product Design, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing designers.

• A portfolio and history that showcase excellence in craft and leadership skills.

• Practical experience in conducting Agile scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standup meetings, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

• Comprehensive product design experience from concept and wireframing to high-fidelity UI and production handoff.

• Extensive proficiency in Figma, covering component architecture, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping.

• Practical background in creating, managing, and scaling Design Systems.

• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

• Experience in synthesizing behavioral analytics using tools like FullStory, Pendo, Amplitude, or similar, along with usability testing to inform design choices.

• Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related area; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
