
Senior Underwriting Quality Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct internal audits of underwriting activities.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, and standard industry practices by staff.
• Offer support and training, and evaluate the work of junior staff as necessary.
• Analyze and review mortality and morbidity trends specific to Life & Protection insurance markets.
• Act as a liaison for the Medical Information Bureau (MIB) in the Life & Protection sector.
• Carry out the annual MIB self-audit for all distribution groups.
• Examine and report on contestable claims.
• Serve as a consultant for the Claims Department.
• Assist with various projects and special assignments.
• A minimum of five years of underwriting experience with mortality and morbidity-based products.
• At least two years of relevant auditing experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of underwriting practices and industry standards.
• Familiarity with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with analytical skills necessary for audit tasks and data interpretation.
• Capability to independently handle assigned audits.
• Proficient in interpreting a diverse range of collected information.
• Preferred: experience in underwriting audits and/or contestable claims.
• Preferred: FLMI and FALU certifications.
• Preferred: understanding of Life & Protection products and distribution systems.
