Senior Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Foster growth by acquiring new business and broadening our carrier presence through strategic appointments and robust producer relationships.

• Take ownership of outcomes by managing the quote-bind-issue process from beginning to end, ensuring quick and precise turnaround on every transaction.

• Act as an owner by enhancing QuoteWell’s wholesale capabilities, particularly within binding authority lines, to drive efficiency and scalability as we expand.

• Collaborate with various teams including Engineering, Product, and Operations to create and implement tools that streamline and enhance underwriting in surplus lines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a wholesale underwriting or production role, demonstrating a strong track record of success in Excess & Surplus (E&S).

• Active general and surplus lines licenses in your home state.

• Possess a producer mindset, adept at selling, building relationships, and closing deals.

• Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment, generating quotes and servicing policies swiftly without compromising quality.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to write concisely, speak clearly, and adjust your tone to suit agents, carriers, and colleagues.

• Highly organized and accountable, able to manage multiple priorities, track every detail, and maintain focus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills; when issues arise, you find solutions, and when necessities are lacking, you create them.

• Team-oriented approach; willing to assist colleagues and celebrate collective achievements.

• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.
