This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design, implement, and enhance advanced multiplayer-ready gameplay systems both within and outside of the Unreal Engine.
• Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ code.
• Utilize a high-level understanding of data structures and algorithms to tackle engaging challenges.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create innovative gameplay experiences.
• Assist in the creation of scalable and robust networking solutions.
• Address and resolve complex technical challenges in multiplayer gaming.
• Over 6 years of experience working with the Unreal Engine.
• Familiarity with at least one proprietary game engine (C/C++ OOP/ECS).
• Comprehensive understanding of Client-Server Game Architecture (such as Client-side prediction, Server reconciliation, Lag compensation, Entity Interpolation, etc.).
• Strong C++ programming abilities, including expertise in modern C++ standards (C++17 and C++20) and their application in various contexts outside of Unreal Engine.
• In-depth knowledge of common data structures and algorithms (DSA).
• Experience with Online Services (for example, GBaaS solutions like Azure Playfab, AccelByte AGS).
• Proficiency with UE’s Gameplay Abilities System (GAS).
