Senior Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee moderately complex civil litigation on behalf of American Family and our policyholders, adhering to established protocols and the highest ethical standards.

• Evaluate cases, devise strategies for optimal results, and seek settlements when suitable.

• Direct the discovery process, draft legal documents including pleadings and briefs, and conduct research to bolster your litigation approach.

• Represent clients during trials, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement discussions.

• Advocate for our clients in state and federal courts, administrative bodies, and regulatory hearings.

• Keep abreast of legal developments to ensure our policies are robust and enforceable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering customer-focused solutions, support, or services.

• Proven experience in preparing civil pleadings, motions, and discovery, as well as deposing witnesses.

• Demonstrated litigation experience.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the rules of Professional Responsibility for the relevant jurisdiction.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of tort, contract, and insurance law.

• Admitted to practice in the Ohio State Bar.

• Juris Doctor degree.
