This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Acts on behalf of insured clients and the Company in defending against bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.
• Diligently prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Effectively prepares and presents both pre- and post-trial motions.
• Collaborates with colleagues to resolve scheduling conflicts in a cooperative manner.
• Provides legal counsel to business clients regarding everyday legal issues.
• Efficiently manages projects, promoting coordination among legal teams.
• Stays updated on new laws, regulations, and case law; collaborates with the Law and Regulation department.
• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Connecticut State Bar.
• Over 4 years of demonstrated litigation experience.
• Preferred experience as first or second chair in jury trials.
• Proven background in insurance defense is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and LexisNexis.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Capable of independently managing an active caseload and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable in a remote or hybrid work setting and willing to travel throughout Connecticut.
