This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Manage the scheduling of supplier pickups and ensure shipment readiness.
• Verify load specifications and mitigate scheduling risks.
• Supervise retailer appointment scheduling, delivery needs, and customer-specific receiving protocols.
• Synchronize transportation timelines with operational strategies.
• Maintain data integrity within the Manhattan TMS.
• Handle appointment and shipment discrepancies.
• Address issues related to transportation scheduling and delivery.
• Direct recovery efforts and enhance operational efficiencies through problem resolution and root cause analysis.
• Relay shipment updates and potential risks.
• Monitor appointment success rates.
• Assist in continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting service reliability.
• Act as the main transportation liaison for suppliers, delivery sites, retailer scheduling teams, and other stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred, or comparable industry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation scheduling, appointment management, logistics coordination, transportation operations, or customer service.
• Familiarity with pickup and delivery appointment procedures and time-sensitive transportation execution.
• Experience with transportation management systems, scheduling tools, ERP systems, or other operational software.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and various collaboration tools.
• Preferred: experience in supporting retailer consolidation, cross-docking, multi-stop, inbound, or appointment-based transportation operations.
• Preferred: experience with Manhattan TMS, retailer scheduling portals, or supplier appointment systems.
• Preferred: knowledge of EDI/API-enabled scheduling workflows, Proof of Delivery standards, detention drivers, and transportation service metrics.
• Background in high-volume transportation, logistics, 3PL, or retail supply chain sectors.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Capability to drive or fly to client and other customer locations.
• Ability to manage personal expenses through a credit card for bi-weekly reimbursement.
