This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the primary contact for carriers regarding load execution, capacity availability, schedule management, and resolving issues.
• Supervise tender and load execution, ensure carrier compliance, maintain shipment visibility, track milestones, collect proof of delivery (POD), and update systems until delivery is completed.
• Address transportation exceptions, drive service recovery efforts, escalate service and compliance issues, and assist in root cause analysis.
• Monitor carrier performance and enhance relationships with carriers.
• Ensure transportation compliance and collaborate with planning, operations, customer service, and billing teams.
• Develop, implement, and continually refine transportation strategies across the logistics network.
• Conduct transportation planning, consolidation, and network optimization tasks.
• Handle carrier communications, manage tender and capacity exceptions, ensure pickup readiness, assess in-transit service risks, oversee delivery completion, and follow up on performance using Manhattan TMS and related systems.
• Optimize trailer usage, lower transportation costs, and facilitate scalable network growth.
• Provide cross-trained backup assistance for related POD activities as necessary.
• Travel to client and customer sites as required, up to 25% of the time.
• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation planning, load optimization, routing, dispatch, or logistics operations.
• Proficient understanding of FTL and LTL transportation, tendering, capacity management, and execution of pickups and deliveries, along with carrier service requirements.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems, ideally Manhattan Active TM.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work with carrier scorecards, operational data, and performance metrics comfortably.
• Experience in managing multi-origin, multi-stop routing, and freight consolidation activities.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Preferred: experience in supporting retailer consolidation, cross-dock operations, multi-stop, or appointment-driven transportation.
• Practical experience with Manhattan TMS or similar enterprise TMS.
• Familiarity with EDI/API-enabled carrier workflows.
• Experience with carrier scorecards, service reviews, corrective action plans, and tools for transportation compliance.
• Up to 25% travel may be necessary.
• A valid driver’s license and the capability to drive and/or fly to client and customer locations.
