This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and implement the national logistics and transportation strategy for the Materials Marketing Group.
• Manage third-party transportation vendors to control costs, ensure effective service delivery, and enhance carrier partnerships.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for transportation and process enhancements.
• Provide support to both internal and external customers to foster satisfaction and loyalty.
• Prioritize customer commitments and missed pickups to uphold service quality.
• Ensure the timely and cost-efficient movement of both raw materials and finished products.
• Address same-day changes and next-day planning requirements to enhance route efficiency and design.
• Gather, analyze, interpret, verify, and reconcile logistics, inventory, and asset-reliability information.
• Assess route challenges, communicate with affected customers, and resolve in-transit issues.
• Meet quarterly with stakeholders and management to suggest freight-lane optimizations and cost-saving measures.
• Assist in replacing software and brokerage tools, cross-training colleagues, and fostering departmental collaboration.
• Monitor and support Key Performance Management objectives.
• Advocate for safe operational practices and cultivate a safety-centric culture.
• Report any driver performance issues or concerns to management.
• Carry out other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of five years of experience in the transportation industry.
• Proven problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Process-oriented and results-driven mindset, committed to organizational success.
• Ability to comprehend and execute tasks with time constraints.

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
