This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Accountable for assisting in the development and delivery of Oncology Training for commercial field representatives.
• Collaborate closely with training colleagues and global trainers to co-create training focused on disease, product knowledge, sales effectiveness, market insights, and operational training for the Commercial organization.
• Maintain expertise in disease states, products, and therapeutic areas.
• Create and implement training programs and initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Design and refine existing curriculum to align with the needs of the Commercial organization.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical, and Regulatory teams to ensure the accuracy of medical content and adherence to promotional policies for training materials.
• Oversee vendors involved in the creation of training content and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Execute project management responsibilities throughout the training content development process.
• Lead training meetings, including planning, managing logistics, monitoring vendors, and ensuring participant engagement.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Precision Medicine, and Commercial Leadership to create training that aligns with brand goals and coordinate the distribution of training materials for field colleagues.
• Influence and lead without direct authority by working with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, etc.) to deliver effective, timely, innovative, and relevant training solutions.
• Partner with external organizations to deliver top-tier training materials.
• Work with colleagues from partner companies to ensure alignment on training strategies and tactics.
• Build trust and credibility with Business Partners through consistent interaction, as evidenced by feedback and established working relationships (adhering to AbbVie Ways of Working pillars).
• Serve as a resource for field sales by actively participating in all sales meetings and routine field visits.
• Design and oversee the implementation of training workshops during National Sales and POA Meetings.
• Develop and maintain expertise in facilitation skills to support the delivery of training content.
• Continuously evaluate the organization's training needs for both clinical fluency and development competencies and provide constructive feedback for innovation.
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is preferred.
• Experience in Training, Marketing, or Sales within the pharmaceutical/biotech sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with Medical Oncology and Gynecologic oncology areas is preferred.
• Experience in developing training tools to enhance clinical acumen is advantageous.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, training design concepts, and various platforms is a plus.
• Exceptional ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across different organizational levels.
• High degree of professionalism with the ability to thrive in a complex, cross-functional environment supporting collaborative project planning.
• Capacity to work effectively in an unstructured environment.
• Acquire strategic insights to allocate time effectively to significant initiatives.
• Outstanding oral presentation and executive leadership communication skills.

• Familiarity with AI and innovative technology platforms (iPAD) and software applications (e.g., MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerAutomate) is highly desirable.
