Senior Trade Marketing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will enhance the trade marketing function comprehensively: strategy, operating model, roles, processes, calendar, and priorities.

• You will integrate existing components such as visual merchandising, flyers, POS, CRM, and promotions into a cohesive end-to-end framework.

• You will develop high-performing core teams and oversee external partners and agencies.

• You will create playbooks and toolkits, including campaign templates, POS standards, local adaptation guidelines, and CI-compliant assets.

• You will categorize retailers based on maturity and potential, subsequently devising suitable activation programs.

• You will consistently plan activities throughout the customer journey: store visit, purchase, and repurchase.

• You will ensure a uniform brand presence across all retail formats and touchpoints.

• You will synchronize central campaigns with local execution, such as CRM, loyalty, local paid strategies, events, and promotions.

• You will establish a KPI and control system to make adoption, campaign impact, uplift, visit frequency, and revenue levers transparent.

• You will implement test-and-learn strategies with clean pilots, geo- and holdout-logics.

• You will deliver clear analyses, dashboards, and a foundation for data-driven decision-making.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in retail, trade, or omnichannel marketing, preferably in decentralized structures such as cooperatives, franchise systems, or retail group networks.

• Proven track record in building functions, processes, or programs and scaling them across multiple locations.

• Strong conceptual abilities accompanied by a genuine hands-on approach.

• Excellent understanding of data, KPIs, budget management, and performance measurement.

• Proficient in stakeholder management between headquarters, retailers, and industry partners.

• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a high level of pragmatism.

• Advantageous: experience with CRM, loyalty, and marketing automation; expertise in POS digitalization, co-marketing, or co-op marketing/trade fund (WKZ) models.
