• Assist in driving the design and execution of high-quality, maintainable C++ tools and workflows, with a primary focus on Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to comprehend complex requirements, propose viable solutions, and advocate for tool development initiatives.
• Independently oversee the entire lifecycle of tool projects, from conception and prioritization to implementation and ongoing support.
• Proactively offer ad hoc tools assistance, skillfully balancing immediate demands against broader development objectives without needing constant supervision.
• Promote best practices in tools usage, highlighting their strategic significance to productivity and quality throughout the organization.
• Objectively assess the influence of tools and workflows on project productivity to guide prioritization choices.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, enhancing team capabilities.
• Extensive experience in writing production-level C++ code, with significant, demonstrable contributions to complex, large-scale codebases in collaborative settings.
• Proven experience in managing projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept through to deployment and maintenance.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts, discuss trade-offs, and advocate for high-quality standards.
• Experience in planning work based on priorities, risks, and the necessity to deliver value incrementally.
• Nice to have: Extensive experience with Unreal Engine or similar AAA game engines.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design, particularly with Slate, Editor Utility Widgets, or equivalent frameworks.
• Previous experience in mentorship or technical leadership within the game development field.
• Familiarity with a scripting language or system, such as Blueprint, Python, or MEL.
