This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Investigate, negotiate, assess, and evaluate claims related to vehicle damage for both repairable and total loss vehicles.
• Utilize digital tools to evaluate highly complex auto physical damage claims and ensure the precision of estimates.
• Conduct investigations into claim damages in collaboration with insured parties, internal claims adjusters, and third-party vendors.
• Analyze facts of loss and vehicle damage to uncover potential subrogation opportunities.
• Scrutinize claims and suppliers for signs of fraud, referring relevant cases to the Special Investigations Unit.
• Keep claim file documentation accurate and up to date.
• Oversee workload, follow-ups, repair plans, and timelines to facilitate prompt and precise claims adjudication.
• Review additional damages reported by repair facilities and finalize supplements or triage inspections for field providers.
• Act as a subject matter expert on disputed claims or during trials.
• Assist team members with escalated challenges.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal business partners to address the most complex claims.
• Coordinate with external regulators as required.
• Provide policyholders with information regarding coverage, repair estimates or total loss valuations, as well as claims and repair processes.
• Assist during workload surges and catastrophe response operations, including on-call duties and potential evening, weekend, or holiday work.
• Be prepared to travel for catastrophe deployments with little notice when assigned.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and manage business risks in alignment with risk and compliance policies.
• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in auto appraising.
• Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance policy contracts and coverages.
• Familiarity with auto parts distribution processes.
• Knowledge of claim appraisal protocols and procedures.
• Advanced proficiency in CCC or similar estimation platforms.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills with members, claimants, repair facilities, and stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and up to 3 attempts.
• U.S. military experience, whether gained through service or as a military spouse/domestic partner, is a distinguishing factor.
• I-CAR certification is an added advantage.
• Must not require current or future immigration assistance or visa sponsorship.
