Senior Test Engineer – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee quality assurance throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Examine requirements and technical documents to pinpoint quality risks and establish test coverage.

• Develop and refine the QA strategy, automation methodologies, quality gates, and release criteria.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure alignment on requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations.

• Create, build, and uphold automated test frameworks and test suites for backend services, REST APIs, AI components, and system integrations.

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and consistently enhance automation coverage.

• Investigate defects, analyze failures, and aid in root cause analysis across distributed systems.

• Contribute to technical documentation, quality reporting, and the ongoing improvement of automation practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in QA/SDET roles with comprehensive ownership of test automation and QA tasks.

• Extensive experience in backend and non-UI-centric test automation.

• Proven ability to define QA strategies, automation methods, quality gates, and test coverage for intricate systems.

• High proficiency in Python.

• Experience in testing REST APIs, backend services, and complex system integrations.

• Background in designing automated test frameworks and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with testing distributed systems and microservices.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized testing environments.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying quality risks.

• An engineering mindset characterized by strong ownership, a high degree of autonomy, and a proactive stance towards test automation.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional engineering teams.

• Upper-Intermediate+ proficiency in English.

• Experience with testing AI/LLM-based applications (Desirable).

• A strong interest in AI technologies and a solid understanding of AI and LLM fundamentals (Desirable).

• Experience with Kubernetes and Azure/AWS (Desirable).
