Senior Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and dependable automated testing frameworks across UI, API, and performance layers.

• Construct and execute API, UI, and performance tests utilizing automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured, or JMeter.

• Implement BDD (e.g., Cucumber) or TDD methodologies with maintainable and reusable test design patterns.

• Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines to ensure swift and reliable feedback.

• Enhance test reliability by minimizing flakiness and optimizing execution times.

• Facilitate parallel test execution and ensure environment scalability.

• Guarantee end-to-end test coverage by developing and maintaining detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.

• Conduct exploratory and risk-based testing to identify complex defects and perform root cause analysis along with in-depth debugging of failures and defects.

• Analyze logs, data, and system behavior to uncover hidden quality risks.

• Validate end-to-end workflows and intricate integrations.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Collaborate with developers to enhance testability and code quality.

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable automation code adhering to engineering best practices.

• Execute database validation using SQL/NoSQL.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of experience in software testing, test automation, and QA processes.

• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Typescript, JavaScript, or C#.

• Practical experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Appium).

• Experience in API testing (REST Assured, Postman, etc.).

• Strong skills in debugging, analysis, and problem-solving.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary development practices.

• Proficiency in database testing using SQL queries.

• Must possess the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
