📋 Description

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of automated enterprise testing initiatives that support the modernization of VMware private cloud SDDC.

• Create and sustain the program's Test Strategy, Master Test Plan, and release validation framework for ECS, CPS, IaaS, DevOps, and SMC capabilities.

• Direct functional, system integration, interoperability, regression, performance, security, and customer acceptance testing.

• Set testing standards, methodologies, quality gates, and engineering processes throughout the program.

• Guide multidisciplinary test teams by providing technical direction, mentoring, workload prioritization, and engineering oversight.

• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to validate integrated enterprise capabilities.

• Manage the testing backlog, refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize testing activities in Agile settings.

• Keep the testing roadmap updated, including milestones, dependencies, environments, and release activities in Jira.

• Identify, manage, and resolve cross-functional testing obstacles and technical dependencies.

• Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners on backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, release planning, and program increment planning.

• Track quality through Jira dashboards, Agile metrics, defect trends, and test coverage.

• Supervise defect management, including triage, prioritization, root cause analysis, and resolution.

• Coordinate the development, configuration, and validation of test environments.

• Ensure testing adheres to NATO security policies, program quality standards, and engineering governance.

• Generate and maintain test documentation, including strategies, plans, procedures, test cases, traceability matrices, defect reports, and completion reports.

• Assist with infrastructure modernization, technical planning, customer demonstrations, and proposal development.

• Provide technical leadership for a secure, mission-critical private cloud program that serves government and international clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 10–15 years of pertinent experience, or a Master's degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience.

• Active NATO Secret clearance or higher is required.

• Proven experience in leading enterprise test automation engineering or quality assurance teams for large-scale infrastructure, cloud, or software modernization programs.

• Experience in developing enterprise Test Strategies, Master Test Plans, and quality management processes for complex systems.

• Competence in managing system integration, interoperability, performance, security, and customer acceptance testing.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary testing teams in secure or regulated environments.

• Proven experience leading Agile engineering teams using Jira, including user story refinement, backlog management, sprint planning, roadmap management, dependency tracking, defect management, blocker resolution, and release planning.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, systems engineering, Agile, SAFe, and DevSecOps methodologies.

• Familiarity with Jira, Xray, Zephyr, Azure DevOps Test Plans, or similar enterprise test and defect management tools.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, and principles of system integration.

• Experience in coordinating customer acceptance testing and formal delivery milestones.

• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, mentoring, and leadership abilities.

• Experience in supporting defense, government, or highly regulated development environments.

• Preferred: ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, ISTQB Test Management, or equivalent certification.

• Preferred: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, SAFe Agilist, or Certified Scrum Professional certification.

• Preferred: Experience working in NATO environments and compliance frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience with automated testing frameworks, API testing, performance testing, and security testing tools.

• Preferred: Experience in developing Requirements Traceability Matrices and verification cross-reference matrices.

• Preferred: Familiarity with continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting large-scale infrastructure modernization and enterprise systems integration programs.
