Director of Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies aimed at enhancing speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Oversee daily logistics operations, which include warehousing, transloading, and transportation management.

• Set and track KPIs to assess and enhance supply chain efficiency.

• Negotiate terms with suppliers, third-party service providers, and 3PL partners.

• Manage logistics budgets and pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction.

• Supervise, mentor, and guide logistics personnel.

• Collaborate with PDM team counterparts located in China.

• Ensure that operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards.

• Assist in the development of logistical solutions and optimize transformer fulfillment for power generation initiatives.

• Engage directly with client operations and internal stakeholders to enhance satisfaction with PDM products.

• Lead the fulfillment of multimillion-dollar project deliveries from supplier hand-off to client site.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field with a proven track record of success.

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in logistics software and data analysis techniques.

• A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related discipline is required.

• Strong project management capabilities.

• Ability to lead the fulfillment of multimillion-dollar projects from supplier hand-off to client site.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to business audiences.

• Experience in successfully transporting large and heavy transformers and electrical infrastructure.

• Capability to manage budgets, select and negotiate with vendors, analyze performance data, and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
