This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and assess organizing initiatives and campaigns that promote the strategic goals of Side With Love.
• Implement innovative organizing techniques and practices.
• Lead actions, events, and training sessions with congregations, state action networks, and UUA partners.
• Evaluate and refine the UUA’s theory of change by utilizing metrics, feedback, and assessment.
• Create workflows and programs that yield results and enhance staff capacity.
• Develop and manage work plans for program staff.
• Supervise and mentor organizers, program managers, and fellows.
• Cultivate a collaborative, accountable, and values-driven culture.
• Coordinate cross-departmental workflows with other UUA divisions.
• Establish and enhance local, state, and national partnerships within faith-based and secular coalitions.
• Represent the UUA and Side With Love in interfaith and movement coalitions.
• Strengthen the organizing and coalition capacity of congregations and justice partners.
• Establish and maintain reporting and data systems.
• Generate reports that synthesize outcomes, insights, and impactful stories.
• Facilitate reflection and learning opportunities for staff, partners, and congregational leaders.
• Assist in designing fundraising strategies that are driven by narrative and data.
• Represent the team at donor events and gatherings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, Vice Presidents, or President.
• Minimum of 5 years in community organizing, campaign leadership, or faith-based movement development.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising staff and programs.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as EveryAction, VAN, or Action Network.
• Strong background in evaluating organizing strategies, theories of change, and program effectiveness.
• Experience in budget management and financial processes.
• Proven experience in coalition-building and partnerships across faith, racial justice, or civic engagement sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and reporting to donors and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and systems design capabilities in complex organizations.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Asana or similar tools, and databases.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a remote setting.
• Commitment to the values and mission of the Unitarian Universalist Association and Side With Love, emphasizing equity, inclusion, and justice.
• Must have easy access to a major airport due to 25% travel requirements.
