Senior Tenable Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Construct, enhance, modernize, and sustain a new Tenable architecture for the Department of the Air Force.

• Design, enhance, and manage the Tenable Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

• Collaborate with the ACAS Solution Architect, Chief Architect, and Chief Engineer, while reporting to the ACAS Project Manager.

• Assist in formulating the Project Integrated Master Schedule alongside the ACAS Engineering Lead.

• Recognize technical continuous improvement opportunities and project execution efficiencies.

• Create and implement enhancements to existing processes and practices.

• Investigate technical challenges and ascertain root causes.

• Develop topology and flow diagrams in conjunction with technical personnel.

• Prepare and present solution presentation materials to internal teams, program stakeholders, and Engineering teams.

• Generate automation scripts and enhance code efficiency.

• Manage and uphold enterprise Red Hat Linux infrastructure utilizing RHEL Satellite and RHEL Ansible integrations.

• Deploy and sustain Kubernetes containers within Azure and VMware hypervisors.

• Successfully navigate Department of the Air Force internal Gate Reviews without any rejections.

• Engage in ad hoc solution whiteboarding sessions with the project team.

• Execute identified process improvements on a quarterly basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience (A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field may substitute for 5 years of experience).

• A minimum of 7 years of experience with ACAS Solutions, preferably Tenable, including at least 5 years of direct involvement.

• At least 3 years of experience in deploying, automating, and securing Red Hat Linux Operating Systems.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting the Department of Defense.

• Strong communication skills with a background in briefing internal project team members and DAF stakeholders.

• Possession of CISSP or an equivalent DoD 8140 Certification Compliance as a Tenable Solution Architect.

• Experience with DevOps tools and automation methodologies.

• Familiarity with implementing enterprise applications in Kubernetes and/or expanding Kubernetes within an enterprise context.
