This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create new process platforms and address project-related challenges by utilizing established processes.
• Oversee multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
• Work in collaboration with customers, vendors, and company personnel to fulfill business needs.
• Ensure expertise in installation requirements per Telco Standard TP76300 (AT&T) and generate necessary documentation.
• Utilize extensive engineering skills across a variety of systems, including DC power, data centers, fiber systems, and supervisory systems.
• Integrate telecom and data equipment through the use of diagnostic software and testing tools.
• Perform onsite surveys at client locations as needed.
• Analyze network diagrams and survey data to ascertain equipment placement and power requirements.
• Develop comprehensive engineering plans for transport and access networks across diverse environments.
• Investigate manufacturer documentation to guarantee correct equipment ordering and installation instructions.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, safety protocols, and administrative requirements.
• Revise all company and customer installation documents as required.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Telecom DC Power, Infrastructure, and Central Office Detail Engineering.
• Familiarity with AT&T systems such as EJF, VIPS, AOTs, and Inventory Systems is advantageous.
• High school diploma along with four years of technical school or equivalent training and experience.
• Ability to create instructions from written, oral, or diagrammatic sources and resolve issues involving concrete variables.
• Capacity to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft 360 and diagnostic applications.
• Willingness to travel domestically (10%-25% travel requirement); international travel is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of company/customer policies and safety standards.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Physical capability to perform activities such as standing, walking, climbing ladders, and crawling in tight spaces during site surveys.
• A valid driver’s license, insurability, and the capability to pass pre-employment background checks are mandatory.
• A valid passport is considered a plus.
