This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.
• Collect technical information from technical teams and other stakeholders to generate precise documentation for government stakeholders such as:
• System Architecture
• Integration Guides and API Documentation
• Business Requirements Document (e.g., BRD, SRS, URS)
• Compliance Reports
• Develop user manuals, administrator guides, training materials, and tutorials for end-users of the systems created.
• Spearhead the creation of sophisticated documentation templates based on feedback from technical teams.
• Review and refine content from team members to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with governmental standards (e.g., data privacy laws, accessibility, and audit trails).
• Ensure all documentation complies with government standards for accessibility (e.g., WCAG), security, privacy, and plain language guidelines.
• Maintain and refresh documentation repositories using tools like Confluence, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee documentation processes in tools such as Confluence, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, including version control and iterative updates.
• Conduct workshops and interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to extract and translate intricate technical details into user-friendly formats.
• Engage in agile workflows, participating in design reviews, sprint demonstrations, and peer evaluations to integrate feedback.
• Assist in project planning by outlining documentation scopes, timelines, and quality gates aligned with agile methodologies.
• Manage post-deployment revisions, handover documentation, and support user adoption in government settings.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in technical writing (5+ years strongly preferred), particularly in software development, IT projects, or the government/public sector.
• Bachelor's degree in English with technical experience, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional certification.
• Strong command of both technical Arabic and English (speaking and writing) to manage bilingual documentation requirements, familiar with standard and common technical terms in both languages.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (showing proper usage without relying on makeshift solutions).
• Expertise in collaboration and documentation tools such as Confluence, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts and rephrase dense paragraphs into clear, organized, and audience-appropriate content while maintaining core concepts and accuracy.
• Keen attention to detail coupled with the ability to maintain a high-level context and relevance.
• Adaptability and patience in learning new domains and extracting detailed information from technical team members who may exhibit weak communication skills.
• Proven capacity to handle multiple deliverables in high-pressure environments with a strong focus on detail.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic setting.
• Highly cooperative, supportive, and collaborative attitude; capable of working effectively and positively with diverse personalities and cross-functional teams.
• Experience across multiple industry sectors.
• Experience in creating and editing training videos or tutorials.
• Familiarity with using AI tools and assistants to enhance technical writing and documentation.
• Translation experience between Arabic and English technical content.
• Leadership experience.
