Senior Technical Talent Advisor

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic talent advisor and a trusted thought partner to the engineering and product leadership teams by proactively utilizing talent intelligence, comprehensive market insights, and external talent perspectives to foster innovative hiring strategies and influence the strategic direction of recruitment efforts.

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for complex and specialized R&D (Product and Technology) positions, leveraging your business insight and recruiting proficiency to design and implement strategic recruiting plans that identify, proactively source, and hire qualified candidates.

• Create and scale engineering recruitment initiatives that establish a high bar for technical talent, encompassing targeted outreach within the industry and delivering structured interview frameworks to mitigate bias and ensure equitable hiring results. Facilitate a high-quality candidate experience by eliminating process obstacles and ensuring consistent, values-aligned communication throughout all interview phases.

• Gather, analyze, and apply talent insights and internal data to proactively set expectations and drive alignment with hiring teams. Counsel and guide leaders on defining success profiles, prioritization, location decisions, and critical trade-offs based on skills-informed assessments. Align interviewer panels on assessment criteria to facilitate optimal hiring outcomes for Twilio.

• Develop and sustain trusted, collaborative relationships with VP-level R&D (Product and Technology) leaders, HR Business Partners, and other cross-functional collaborators (Total Rewards, Finance, TA Operations) and TA Centers of Excellence.

• Leverage AI, tools, and technology to remain informed about technical recruiting best practices, emerging sourcing methods, interview advancements, and workplace trends to enhance the quality of talent acquisition.

• Communicate and negotiate effectively and diplomatically across complex offer structures that include equity, utilizing data and strategic influence to achieve desired business outcomes.

• Act as a trusted partner and a significant contributor across Talent Acquisition and People Partnerships teams. Influence collaborative results without direct authority, effectively navigate ambiguity, and take a proactive approach to identifying potential hiring obstacles before they occur.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive full-cycle technical recruiting experience for software/ML/AI engineers, Technical Program Managers, and engineering leadership within technology or technology-adjacent environments (e.g., Fintech).

• Outstanding communication, critical thinking, and negotiation skills, complemented by the business acumen needed to navigate the competitive tech talent landscape and influence leadership. Proven success in closing high-demand talent and managing complex offer packages by effectively promoting our strong Employee Value Proposition, flexible remote work model, and exceptional culture, while successfully guiding internal stakeholders on market realities versus individual candidate expectations.

• Strong expertise in leveraging talent data analytics and market intelligence to drive evidence-based hiring decisions and build trust with R&D leaders. Experience in leading process enhancements and technical hiring initiatives.

• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.

• Proven success in managing high-quality candidate experiences while determining and executing optimal sourcing strategies. Skilled at navigating searches across multiple open roles with varying job levels, complexity, and urgency, while proactively sourcing and establishing technical talent pipelines without relying on inbound applications.

• Advanced capability to evaluate and validate candidate skills while serving as a Twilio brand ambassador.

• In-depth knowledge of current trends and best practices in technical recruiting. Highly proficient in ATS/CRM platforms, candidate relationship management, and AI recruiting tools and technologies.
