This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish comprehensive Industry 4.0 and Industrial AI solution architectures.
• Develop roadmaps for smart manufacturing platforms.
• Facilitate connections among frontline workers, industrial assets, enterprise systems, and AI platforms via intelligent workflows.
• Collaborate with system provider companies to integrate the Cerence solution across their end-to-end applications.
• Propel the deployment of Voice AI, Edge AI, and embedded Small Language Models (SLMs) within manufacturing environments.
• Influence product direction through customer interactions, pilot projects, and production deployments.
• Lead technical discussions with customers, partners, product teams, and engineering organizations.
• Design scalable end-to-end architectures that incorporate Voice AI and SLMs into enterprise manufacturing systems.
• Create integration architectures with MES, ERP, PLM, WMS, CMMS, SCADA, and PLC environments.
• Develop architectures that encompass mobile devices, rugged tablets, wearables, HMIs, industrial control panels, and workflows on the factory floor.
• Define strategies for deploying SLMs and AI workloads across cloud platforms, edge gateways, industrial PCs, and embedded environments.
• Provide architecture governance, technical guidance, and solution leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure that solutions comply with industrial safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Industrial AI, IIoT, Digital Twins, or Smart Manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of Industry 4.0 architectures, connected factories, Industrial IoT (IIoT), OT/IT convergence, digital threads, predictive maintenance, industrial analytics, and factory automation ecosystems.
• Experience in designing solutions that connect frontline workers, processes, industrial assets, and enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Digital Twin platforms such as NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Industrial Digital Twins, Azure Digital Twins, Siemens Digital Twin ecosystems, or comparable solutions.
• Proven expertise in deploying and integrating Small Language Models (SLMs) in edge and industrial settings.
• Solid understanding of OPC UA, MQTT, PLC, SCADA, industrial telemetry, and operational technology integration.
• Experience in integrating MES, ERP, PLM, WMS, CMMS, and enterprise manufacturing systems.
• Customer-facing technical leadership experience and capability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Good to have: Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Knowledge Graphs, and Multimodal AI systems.
• Experience with Connected Worker platforms and Digital Manufacturing initiatives.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity standards including IEC 62443 and related OT security frameworks.
• Familiarity with ecosystems such as Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, ABB, Honeywell, or PTC.
• Experience with Predictive Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, Factory Optimization, and Manufacturing Analytics solutions.
