Senior Technical Project Manager – Online Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the effective delivery and launch of a large-scale, high-traffic digital media website.

• Function as the operational lead for the project, actively identifying risks, eliminating obstacles, and driving execution.

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, resource distribution, and delivery frameworks.

• Evaluate wireframes, designs, and technical specifications to assess complexity and determine implementation strategies.

• Decompose project scope into organized development tasks and actionable deliverables.

• Anticipate technical dependencies and constraints related to content migration, data flows, advertising, and integrations.

• Collect and clarify requirements through collaboration with stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams.

• Act as the main point of contact between design, editorial, product, and engineering teams.

• Guarantee that technical specifications, CMS integrations, APIs, analytics tools, and advertising platforms are effectively implemented.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Standups, Reviews, and Demos.

• Manage and uphold Jira backlogs, ensuring that stories, tasks, bugs, and requirements are clearly documented and prioritized.

• Coordinate development efforts to ensure projects stay on track and within scope.

• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

• Foster accountability across teams and maintain momentum towards critical launch deadlines.

• Promote continuous process improvement and delivery best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in successfully leading high-traffic website launches, complex digital product deployments, or large-scale content migration initiatives.

• Strong background in working with digital media, publishing, news, content-rich, or aggregation platforms.

• Familiarity with publisher-specific technologies, including advertising integrations, analytics, search functionality, dynamic content modules, and data feeds.

• Practical experience managing projects involving Content Management Systems such as Contentful, WordPress, Drupal, AEM, or similar enterprise platforms.

• Strong comprehension of how structured content flows from CMS platforms to front-end experiences.

• Expert-level experience in managing Agile delivery frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

• Advanced skills with Atlassian Jira and Confluence for backlog management, sprint planning, and project tracking.

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and contemporary software delivery practices.

• Strong technical literacy with the capability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and technical stakeholders.

• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams across product, design, content, and engineering disciplines.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to excel in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes.
