This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Initiate and oversee strategic, complex projects while evaluating financial implications, risks, and opportunities.
• Design and implement communication strategies for clients and project teams, acting as the primary communication liaison among clients, consulting teams, and organizational departments.
• Lead and implement agile methodologies, serving as a change agent with strong leadership qualities.
• Organize cross-functional team meetings by employing best practices.
• Collaborate with the Resource Management Office to manage staffing and project closure activities.
• Work alongside product owners to refine the backlog and develop release plans.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to project teams regarding processes, project objectives, deadlines, and best practices.
• Establish effective change management processes and evaluate the impact of changes.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Track and report key achievements towards outcomes and metrics, including backlog, burn-down charts, and velocity.
• Address technical and operational challenges while upholding professionalism.
• Gain proficiency in Red Hat’s technologies.
• Travel up to 50% as needed.
• Proven experience as a project/program manager overseeing large, complex enterprise IT projects.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices, with the ability to integrate them effectively according to project and business needs.
• Experience in establishing and contributing to process enhancements.
• Background in managing complex projects and collaborating with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated success in managing intricate projects from initiation to completion.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities, analytical thinking, strategic insight, and business judgment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse management team and a wide range of internal and external partners.
• Attention to detail and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Balanced business acumen and technical knowledge.
• Capability to convey the value of Project Management and advocate for the Red Hat Services PM methodology and techniques.
• PMI certification or other Agile methodology certifications preferred.
