Senior Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the overall project design and execution aimed at achieving results across various complex initiatives.

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for project scope, timelines, budget, risk management, and quality assurance.

• Lead and guide cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and adherence to delivery standards.

• Establish and uphold project governance, delivery standards, and best practices while maintaining a focus on outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with clients and internal leadership to set expectations, make trade-offs, and address escalations.

• Provide clear guidance to facilitate project progress and keep teams unblocked.

• Proactively identify delivery risks and dependencies, implementing strategic mitigation plans.

• Oversee project financials, resource allocation, and delivery forecasting to ensure commercial viability.

• Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to executive stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

• Foster continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and team performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in project management, preferably supporting US or global clients.

• Strong experience in client-facing roles, managing external stakeholders, and serving as the primary delivery owner.

• Proven experience in leading technical delivery teams, with direct accountability for execution and results (not limited to PMO or reporting roles).

• Strong technical expertise, enabling effective collaboration with engineering and automation teams.

• Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and the appropriate contexts for each.

• Demonstrated ability to drive projects from initiation to delivery, managing scope, risk, budget, and timelines.

• Proficient in project management tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.

• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Availability to work during US business hours.
