Senior Technical Program Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of intricate, multi-team programs encompassing Engineering, Product, and Design, from initial scoping through to launch and operational transition.

• Establish and uphold planning frameworks, milestone structures, and risk models that facilitate predictable delivery within your programs, rather than merely tracking against externally established plans.

• Recognize, escalate, and actively resolve cross-functional dependencies, obstacles, and trade-offs, providing clear recommendations rather than just status updates.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product leadership to establish and critically assess roadmap sequencing, resource assumptions, and criteria for launch readiness.

• Navigate programs throughout the complete product lifecycle, with a specific emphasis on launch preparedness, post-launch metric validation, operational transition to sustaining teams, and ensuring that downstream stakeholders—including Business Development, Customer Success, Grid Operations, and partner-facing functions—are informed, equipped, and ready to operate before formal program closure.

• Create and disseminate operational practices and retrospective insights that elevate the execution standards across the wider TPM team.

• Act as a decision-support resource for your stakeholders by synthesizing technical and scheduling complexities into clear options and trade-offs for leadership consideration.

• Maintain cross-functional situational awareness across interdependent programs, proactively surfacing risks and misalignments before they escalate into larger issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Technical Program Management or Engineering Program Management, including at least 3 years managing programs across multiple engineering teams.

• Proven ability to construct or significantly enhance program management systems and frameworks, rather than merely operating within existing structures.

• Solid technical foundation (software and/or hardware) sufficient to critically assess engineering estimates, comprehend architectural trade-offs, and engage credibly with senior engineers.

• Demonstrated history of fostering alignment across functions without formal authority, particularly in settings where priorities may conflict and stakeholders span both technical and non-technical areas.

• A clear and direct communicator capable of translating program complexities into executive-level narratives and decision-making points.

• Experience with consumer-facing software products.

• Bonuses:

• A full-time position offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The base salary for this role ranges from $160k to $205k. Additionally, this position is eligible for a target annual bonus of 15% of the base salary, along with participation in long-term incentive programs linked to company growth and performance. Compensation is determined based on market data, your job family, background, skills, experience, and U.S. work location within our established pay range.
