Senior Technical Product Manager, XR Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the XR platform roadmap — evaluate market trends, pinpoint emerging platforms, and advocate for Unity's investment to maximize creator impact.

• Engage in negotiations with global hardware partners while managing intricate internal dependencies to prioritize platform-level stability.

• Compose high-stakes strategic documents and maintain a close understanding of Unity's interactions with XR hardware.

• Collaborate with R&D to influence the evolution of AI-driven authoring and internal tools that enhance engine support for XR platforms.

• Articulate Unity's platform vision to external audiences — at XR industry conferences and in strategic presentations for partners and customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in delivering complex, technical products — middleware, operating systems, developer tools, or large-scale platform integrations.

• Experience in managing relationships with external partners and influencing internal stakeholders within a large organization.

• Technical expertise in APIs, rendering pipelines, and hardware abstraction — comfortable engaging deeply with architects and engineers.

• Proven ability to navigate complex cross-functional dependencies and drive execution from strategy to delivery.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills — capable of transforming technical roadmaps into engaging narratives for diverse audiences.

• Practical experience with Unity or a comparable major game engine.

• Proven experience integrating AI tools into developer or creative workflows.

• Background in developer advocacy, conference presentations, or partner-facing platform promotion.
