📋 Description

• Develop Alpaca's internal infrastructure and developer platform as a key product.

• Take ownership of product definition, platform maturity strategy, intake processes, backlog management, and multi-quarter roadmaps for Platform & Infrastructure.

• Set priorities for the DevOps, Platform, Infrastructure teams, and internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with the VP of Engineering.

• Define and refine an infrastructure platform maturity model and establish self-service golden paths.

• Manage Foundational Infrastructure product objectives, including cost attribution/chargeback, efficiency metrics, and CI/CD delivery and adoption key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Oversee the central backlog and intake process while developing a transparent monthly delivery roadmap.

• Identify platform and infrastructure dependencies proactively to prevent impacts on other roadmaps.

• Organize maintenance windows, runbooks, and market-hours constraints while striving for 24/7 global deployability.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering and Finance on matters of cost attribution, chargeback, and efficiency.

• Enhance CI/CD and developer-platform adoption alongside DevOps App and Platform teams.

• Facilitate infrastructure portability for global expansion by differentiating centralized capabilities from region-deployable components.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager (TPM), product manager technical, or in a similar role, with significant experience managing infrastructure, platform, or developer experience.

• Managed a multi-team backlog, intake, and roadmap, while facilitating a planning cadence utilized by teams.

• Possess technical fluency in compute infrastructure, deployment pipelines (CI/CD), data storage solutions, networking, and cost drivers.

• Capable of recognizing inadequate or vague technical proposals.

• Successfully influenced platform adoption across multiple teams without formal reporting lines.

• Skilled in defining precise scope and clarifying ownership boundaries.

• Experience in a production environment sensitive to market hours or regulations, or in a domain characterized by deployment windows, change risk, and customer trust requirements.

• Leverages AI and automation to minimize program toil.

• Experience with platform-maturity models, paved-path programs, or internal developer platforms is preferred.

• Experience in reducing maintenance windows or addressing change-freeze cultures is advantageous.

• Familiarity with multi-region or multi-entity infrastructure is a plus.

• Background in capital markets, brokerage, or other FinTech infrastructure is a plus.
