This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Take charge of the strategy and implementation of Fingerprint’s Bot Detection service.
• Establish the mission, vision, and strategy for Bot Detection as a unique product line.
• Manage the roadmap encompassing detection capabilities, taxonomy/identity models, user experience for customers, and readiness for market entry.
• Lead the initiative to enhance and broaden detection coverage.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data Science teams to outline evaluation methods, quality targets, and iterative processes.
• Define the transition from “bot detection” to automation and intent intelligence.
• Formulate the strategy for our Automation Intelligence API.
• Create and deliver customer-facing product interfaces for Bot Detection.
• Work with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to establish value messaging and product positioning.
• Serve as the “single-threaded owner” across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Go-To-Market, and Customer Success.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience or extensive familiarity with bot management, fraud, or abuse platforms (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, HUMAN, Arkose Labs, DataDome, PerimeterX, Sift, etc.).
• Strong sense of ownership and an effective cross-functional operating rhythm (alignment, prioritization, and execution).
• Empathy for customers and the ability to translate their challenges into a roadmap and requirements.
• Proficient in making data-informed decisions (defining success metrics, interpreting dashboards, and collaborating with Product Analytics/Data Science).
• Comfortable with measuring and iterating detection systems: understanding precision/recall tradeoffs, false positive/false negative analyses, coverage objectives, and model/rule iteration cycles.
• Knowledge of privacy and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR/CCPA) as they relate to detection signals; capability to enforce privacy-preserving product requirements.
• In-depth understanding of web technologies and automation methods (including browser and API automation) and how detection systems respond under adversarial conditions.
• Familiarity with network and IP intelligence, including residential proxies, and contemporary spoofing and tampering techniques.
• Understanding of detection signal workflows (client-side instrumentation, server-side ingestion, feature engineering) and operational limitations (latency, scale, robustness).
• Experience in assessing build versus buy decisions in security/detection sectors and translating findings into an actionable plan.
• Awareness of privacy/security limitations and global compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR/CCPA) as they relate to detection signals.
• Proven experience in developing products that integrate heuristic and machine learning approaches, along with defining metrics for both.
