This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Overseeing the comprehensive implementation of designated Digital Engineering products.
• Guides a diverse team of I&C designers, architects, system engineers, and software developers throughout the phases of design, product selection, software development, implementation, and testing.
• Collaborates with the team to produce a clear and detailed set of requirements that facilitates the effective delivery of product features and functions.
• Balances business, technical, and customer needs to create and uphold a high-quality product.
• Takes ownership of digital/software product and system definitions, requirements, specifications, roadmap, and lifecycle management.
• Manages the backlog; consistently organizes and prioritizes features and backlog items.
• Demonstrates advanced skills in problem decomposition and navigates through ambiguities in work requests/requirements to formulate actionable user stories/work units.
• Ensures adherence to policies, meets schedules, and comprehensively understands and documents risks.
• Leads small projects with moderate risks and resource demands.
• Articulates complex or sensitive information; works towards achieving consensus.
• Utilizes multiple internal sources and limited external sources beyond their function to inform decision-making.
• Applies judgment and tools to make decisions or resolve moderately complex tasks or issues in operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering fields.
• Possesses a thorough understanding of the technology stack and its influence on the final product.
• Recognizes component and product integration across related system functionalities to ensure product rationalization, performance, and operability.
• Contributes to strategy and policy formulation while ensuring quality delivery within their area of responsibility for both internal and external clients.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM fields with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or Software Product Management; OR an alternative Bachelor's Degree with at least 7 years of experience in the aforementioned areas.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM fields (Desired).
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Proven capability to deconstruct, document, analyze, and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated application of project/program management skills.
• Exhibits exceptional persuasion and influencing skills to ensure alignment among customer, product manager, and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with software development in relation to requirements, documentation, and testing.
• Proactively seeks to learn about and analyze alternative technologies and methodologies for problem-solving.
• Innovates and integrates new processes and/or technologies to significantly enhance value for GE.
• Evaluates how change costs compare to benefits and provides appropriate guidance.
