This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take ownership of the product vision for our primary technical platform, ensuring it is highly efficient, secure, and delivers an unparalleled developer experience (DX).
• Engage with the product daily by utilizing APIs, setting up test environments, identifying regressions early, and validating the complete user journey firsthand.
• Create and enhance reference applications and infrastructure-as-code templates that serve as showcase demonstrations for clients and effective regression tests for engineering.
• Develop proofs-of-concept and prototypes leveraging the latest AI technologies and LLMs to validate new feature concepts prior to allocating engineering resources.
• Oversee and adjust the roadmap, encompassing immediate feature launches, medium-term platform integrations, and long-term architectural projects.
• Synchronize product planning with engineering sprints, infrastructure updates, and the intricate constraints involved in enterprise client deployments.
• Establish clear problem statements, success criteria, and technical specifications, then collaborate closely with engineering leads to devise appropriate solutions.
• Advocate for our primary user personas (Data Engineers, DevOps, Enterprise Developers, ML Engineers) and focus on addressing their most significant challenges, from cumbersome integrations to prolonged deployment cycles.
• Conduct a steady stream of user interviews with technical stakeholders to ground your roadmap decisions in practical workflows.
• Collaborate across departments with engineering, data science, marketing, and sales architecture teams.
• Possesses a professional background in software engineering (e.g., Python, TypeScript) before transitioning into product management.
• Has over 5 years of experience in technical product management or a similar product leadership position within a complex, highly technical field (B2B SaaS, Data, or AI platforms).
• Is a hands-on product creator who enjoys delving into documentation, executing queries, or testing endpoints, rather than relying solely on status updates.
• Has experience with AI development workflows and a keen interest in how AI agents are transforming software engineering and data analysis.
• Can simplify complex technical issues into clear roadmaps, concise Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), and actionable engineering tasks.
• Exhibits outstanding communication skills - able to convey intricate technical constraints to executive stakeholders and overarching business objectives to engineering teams.
• Is prepared to serve as a product advocate externally, representing Sand Technologies in community engagements and technical forums.
• Takes Developer Experience (DX) seriously - you regard a confusing API payload or an unclear error message as an immediate bug that requires fixing.
• Willing to travel 50 - 75% to engage with clients in the EMEA region.
