This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of the product lifecycle within your domain, including discovery, definition, delivery, and iteration, collaborating closely with Engineering and Design. This encompasses leading the transformation of non-deterministic LLMs into dependable, mission-critical mortgage automation: establishing requirements, assessing trade-offs, and defining success criteria.
• Conduct customer discovery sessions with mortgage lenders, loan officers, and operational teams—facilitating interviews, analyzing workflows, and translating insights into a roadmap that is rooted in customer evidence, business strategy, and technical viability.
• Engage in hands-on prototyping and exploration of product concepts—leveraging AI coding tools and your technical expertise to validate preliminary ideas and provide Engineering with clear starting points.
• Develop meticulously organized product specifications and acceptance criteria that empower Engineering and Design to progress swiftly and iterate purposefully.
• Establish success metrics for each significant initiative and lead post-launch iterations until desired outcomes are achieved.
• Represent the customer's perspective in technical architecture discussions—advocating strongly against trade-offs that may jeopardize user experience.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to refine product positioning and influence the deal cycles relevant to your product area.
• Make decisive choices regarding project scope—ensuring the delivery of focused, well-executed products and knowing when to launch with confidence.
• A strong technical foundation—experience in software engineering, or sufficient depth to read a codebase, prototype with AI coding tools, and contribute meaningfully to architecture discussions.
• Proficiency in LLM concepts—prompting, evaluations, retrieval, fine-tuning—and the ability to translate these into reliable, user-facing products.
• Experience in developing B2B SaaS products within a regulated industry (fintech, insurtech, healthcare, or similar). Familiarity with mortgage or lending is a significant advantage.
• Keen customer research instincts—you can ask insightful questions, synthesize qualitative data, and convert it into actionable insights based on direct user interactions.
• Data fluency—adept at extracting insights from dashboards, analyzing numerical data, and formulating hypotheses from quantitative information.
• Proven experience in a fast-paced startup environment, including navigating ambiguity and making informed decisions without complete information.
• Outstanding written communication—your specifications, documents, and asynchronous updates are clear, concise, and engaging enough to be read.
• The ability to foster strong working relationships with engineers—possessing enough understanding of technical trade-offs to engage in credible discussions and build trust.
• Experience in owning product metrics and utilizing them to steer iterations—not merely tracking vanity metrics post-factum.
• Comprehensive medical coverage (100% of employee + family premiums covered)
• Vision & dental coverage
• 401(k) plan
• HSA / FSA options
• Access to the lender partner’s employee loan program
• Remote-first culture—work from wherever you perform at your best
• Flexible time off—we trust you to manage your own time
