This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Overseeing the comprehensive implementation of designated Digital Engineering products.
• Leading a multidisciplinary team consisting of I&C designers, architects, system engineers, and software developers throughout the phases of design, product selection, software development, implementation, and testing.
• Providing a clear and detailed set of requirements that facilitate the effective delivery of product features and functionalities.
• Balancing business, technical, and customer requirements to ensure the creation and maintenance of a high-quality product.
• Managing and owning digital/software product and system definitions, requirements, specifications, roadmap, and lifecycle.
• Overseeing and managing the backlog; continuously organizing and prioritizing features and backlog items.
• Ensuring adherence to policies, meeting schedules, and comprehending and documenting risks.
• Leading small projects with moderate risks and resource needs.
• Utilizing judgment and tools to make decisions or address moderately complex tasks or issues in areas such as operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
• Contributing to strategy and policy development while ensuring quality delivery within the area of responsibility for both internal and external customers.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM majors, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or Software Product Management; OR another Bachelor's Degree with at least 7 years of experience in the same fields.
• A Master's Degree in Computer Science or STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is preferred.
• Exceptional oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to deconstruct, document, analyze, and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated expertise in applying project/program management skills.
• Exhibits superior persuasion and influencing abilities that ensure alignment between customers, product managers, and engineering teams.
• Knowledge of software development concerning requirements, documentation, and testing.
• Proactively seeks to learn about and analyze alternative technologies and methods for solving problems.
• Innovates and integrates new processes and/or technologies to significantly enhance value for GE.
• Assesses how the cost of change compares to the benefits and provides informed recommendations.
