Senior Technical Lead – Golang, Distributed Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical direction and contribute to the architecture of backend services.

• Gather and process telemetry data at scale from various customer environments.

• Respond to environmental changes and apply policies in a highly scalable way to numerous enforcement points.

• Develop API endpoints that must deliver responses with minimal latency, even when handling large data volumes.

• Work within highly intricate distributed system environments, facing unique failure modes associated with those systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in building software systems using programming languages such as Go, C++, or Java.

• At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role within a software engineering context.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, a Master's with 6 years, a PhD with 3 years, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

• If lacking a degree, a minimum of 10 years of pertinent professional experience is required.

• Strong understanding of foundational Computer Science areas, including algorithms, systems, databases, performance engineering, and security architecture.

• Experience in schema and data modeling design.

• Proven track record with large-scale event processing architectures.

• Background in systems programming and performance engineering.

• Experience with security architecture and database design.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Experience with programming using cloud APIs for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
