Senior Technical Instructional Designer, Revenue Enablement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Content Development to formulate enablement strategies, curriculum roadmaps, and scalable learning programs for technical sellers, partners, and alliance audiences.

• Convert technical strategies, product complexities, and field requirements into clear learning objectives, curriculum frameworks, learner pathways, and instructional models.

• Oversee the design of comprehensive learning experiences, including: Course architecture, Assessments, Applied exercises, Scenario-based learning, Labs, Workshops, Blended programs.

• Act as a strategic instructional design partner to highly technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) by: Extracting knowledge, Questioning assumptions, Verifying accuracy, Ensuring learning aligns with real-world technical and field applications.

• Develop and uphold instructional design standards, templates, frameworks, and best practices across technical enablement programs.

• Mentor, review, and assist course writers, content developers, and other contributors to ensure implementation adheres to instructional design standards, learner needs, and program objectives.

• Design for various delivery modalities, including: eLearning, Instructor-led training, Virtual instructor-led training, Workshops, Labs, Simulations, Blended learning experiences.

• Implement adult learning principles, technical enablement best practices, and performance-based learning strategies to enhance: Retention, Confidence, Technical fluency, Field application.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with enablement, product teams, technical SMEs, field leaders, and partner-facing groups to ensure learning programs align with business priorities and field readiness requirements.

• Utilize learner feedback, field insights, performance metrics, and evolving technical priorities to evaluate effectiveness and continually enhance learning experiences.

• Identify opportunities to improve consistency, scalability, reusability, and efficiency throughout technical enablement curriculum and content development processes.

• Utilize tools such as Google Workspace, enablement platforms, authoring tools, and AI-assisted design tools to expedite design, iteration, and content creation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, optimize workflows and processes, increase efficiency, and drive business outcomes.

• Extensive experience designing training for technical enablement audiences, including: Sales Engineers, Partners, Alliances, Technical sellers, Customer-facing technical teams.

• Advanced instructional design skills, encompassing: Learning objective development, Curriculum architecture, Assessment strategies, Learner journey planning, Applied learning design, Measurement of learning effectiveness.

• Demonstrated capacity to operate independently, translating ambiguous or high-level business and technical objectives into scalable, effective learning solutions.

• Strong ability to engage with highly technical stakeholders, rapidly grasp complex subject matter, and translate technical intricacies into clear, practical, field-relevant learning experiences.

• Experience in designing learning across various delivery modalities, including: eLearning, Instructor-led training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-led training (VILT), Workshops, Labs, Simulations, Blended programs.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities, including the capacity to influence SMEs, field leaders, and cross-functional partners without direct authority.

• Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and program management skills.

• Ability to establish instructional design standards, guide others in applying them, and ensure consistency across complex learning programs.

• Experience using feedback, data, and field insights to assess learning effectiveness and improve curriculum design over time.
