Senior Technical Documentation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain technical documentation in line with military specifications and standards, which includes, but is not limited to, operating manuals, maintenance guides, and parts catalogues.

• Gather and evaluate technical data from drawings, specifications, and schematics, ensuring that all documentation accurately represents these elements.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and development teams to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of technical documents.

• Employ specialized software, including Adobe FrameMaker and MS Office, to create and modify documents and illustrations.

• Ensure that all documentation adheres to applicable industry and military standards while meeting client expectations.

• Oversee the entire documentation project lifecycle from beginning to end, ensuring quality and consistency are maintained throughout.

• Support the digital integration and distribution of documentation to clients, facilitating smooth data transfers.

• Coordinate documentation activities with external service providers as required, ensuring compliance with military specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a technical vocational training certificate or degree, with a preference for experience in technical documentation and military standards.

• A strong technical understanding is essential.

• Familiarity with ASD specifications such as S1000D, S2000M, or S3000L is preferred.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with documentation software, including Adobe FrameMaker, Photoshop, or Illustrator.

• Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to comprehend and interpret complex technical drawings and data sets.

• Strong communication skills are necessary; fluency in both German and English is required.

• Self-driven with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.

• Knowledge of ERP systems and database management; experience with military specifications is an asset.

• Background in the defence industry is an added advantage.
