Senior Technical Consulting Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversees and facilitates the effective planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of Technical Consulting projects.

• Collaborates with clients to ensure that suitable governance is applied to each project based on its scope and offerings.

• Serves as the primary point of contact for clients once a project is initiated.

• Acts as the central hub for all communications between the client and the Mainframe Division, which includes Technical Consulting, Engineering, and Support or Development.

• Prioritizes successful project delivery as the key performance indicator for this position.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of project management experience, preferably within an IT setting.

• Experience in managing Mainframe and/or Open Systems Software projects in a dynamic environment.

• Proven expertise of at least 8 years in IT project management, utilizing standard Work Breakdown Structures, Project Plans, Risk & Issue Management, Project Governance, and applying PMI or similar project methodologies to projects and programs.

• Comprehensive understanding of Project Management methodologies; PMP Certification or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Strong organizational and planning abilities.

• Demonstrated success in delivering large or complex projects/programs on schedule and within budget.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational capabilities; adept at working under pressure and with minimal supervision.

• Ability to manage changing priorities, demands, and timelines effectively.

• Capacity to drive execution and take responsibility for the overall success of projects.

• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities.

• Technical proficiency combined with customer-facing skills.

• Ability to independently make decisions and address client inquiries regarding scope, staffing, invoicing, resource allocations, and staffing requirements.
