Senior Technical Consultant – Network SDN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert in software-defined technologies.

• Have a robust understanding of Cisco ACI, Cisco or Arista VxLAN, and VMware NSX (V & T) technologies.

• Engage in the deployment of intricate solutions, generate written deliverables, and facilitate client workshops.

• Capable of conveying and executing architecture strategies and approaches in a clear, concise manner to senior management and other stakeholders at the client level.

• Skilled in implementing design architecture goals that correspond with client needs and business objectives.

• Possess receptive listening skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exhibit exceptional situational leadership and prompt decision-making abilities.

• Committed to achieving successful outcomes for customers.

• Able to work efficiently across all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.

• Capable of functioning independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Proven track record of delivering multiple IT projects on schedule and within budget.

• Ensure seamless knowledge transfer to relevant client teams for the effective operation of deployed solutions.

• Acquire and maintain necessary certifications along with associated qualifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in data center environments within enterprise settings.

• Extensive hands-on technical expertise in Cisco, Arista, or VMware NSX large-scale data center deployments and migrations.

• Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, urgency, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

• In-depth knowledge of underlay and overlay concepts, segmentation strategies, and solution interoperability.

• Experience with VMware technologies, including NSX, NSX-T, and Avi.

• Comprehensive understanding of VXLAN, OTV, EVPN/BGP, and overlay networking.

• Familiarity with AVI Networks load balancers, including GSLB, controllers, and data/control planes within VMware NSX environments.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and automation techniques.
