This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Design and sustain material systems, shader frameworks, and artist-centric workflows within Unreal Engine 5.
• Create and implement scalable master materials along with comprehensive material frameworks.
• Develop reusable shader solutions applicable to environments, props, and characters.
• Collaborate closely with artists to establish efficient material workflows.
• Optimize shaders and materials to enhance performance and reduce memory consumption.
• Assist in troubleshooting rendering issues and improving visual quality.
• Develop Blueprint-based tools and workflows tailored for content creators.
• Contribute to asset validation and optimization processes.
• Partner with Engineering to enhance content production workflows.
• Document tools, material standards, and best practice guidelines.
• Facilitate procedural and world-building workflows when applicable.
• At least 5 years of experience in game development or the CG industry.
• A minimum of 2 years as a Technical Artist.
• In-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine, material optimization, and rendering pipelines.
• Proficiency in HLSL.
• Strong experience in Blueprint scripting.
• Proven ability to create scalable material libraries and production-ready shader frameworks.
• Experience in profiling and optimizing materials for various hardware targets.
• Solid understanding of Unreal Engine's rendering systems, lighting, and content pipelines.
• Experience in writing technical documentation and defining workflows for artists.
• Familiarity with the UE5 PCG Framework.
• Preferred: Experience with Houdini and Houdini Engine for Unreal.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Geometry Script.
• Preferred: Experience with Editor Utility Widgets and pipeline automation.
• Preferred: C++ knowledge applicable to Unreal Engine workflows.
• Preferred: Python scripting experience.
• Preferred: Experience with Niagara VFX systems.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Landscape, RVT, Virtual Textures, Foliage systems, and world-building workflows.
• Preferred: Familiarity with procedural content generation pipelines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
